Hello and welcome to my blog! I've called it The Running Peacock Quilter as these are my two favourite hobbies! I love making quilts and following what is happening in the quilting world. I have just extended this with the purchase on a Nolting longarm quilting machine. I have been busy practicing my quilting skills on my own quilts, my mothers quilts and charity quilts. The running side is because I enjoy getting outside and going for a nice run (well jog actually as I'm a bit slower than the marathon runners!) Today I completed a 10km run as part of the Wellington Armstrong Motors Marathon. I ran it with my running buddy and we finished faster than our target time.

This is my scrappy drunken path quilt I made years ago. I didn't like it anymore, so it was put away. I pulled it out to practice a pantograph pattern with my Nolting long-arm  and it looks fab now! Quilting really changes the look!
This is a block I made for my Baltimore quilt. I wanted a grape wreath and Alex Anderson had this pattern in The Quilt Life magazine. I traced it and sewed it and then discovered the leaves were fixed on with a steam a seam or similar product. I had needle turned them all!!! Must remember to read the pattern next time!
